Uzima's Leadership
Ayan Mohamed
Chief Executive Officer
Ayan is a refugee and U.S. citizen with more than eight years of experience working as an interpreter who speaks five languages, as well as being one of the original founders of Uzima Health Services.
She is a prominent leader in the refugee community as well as overseeing Uzima’s outreach and marketing programs.
Ayan is passionately committed to helping refugees settling in Idaho. She has personal experience with trauma and understands the complex issues refugees face in acclimating to an unfamiliar culture.
Sarah Berry
Chief Financial Officer
Sarah is an entrepreneur with expertise in billing and accounting; human resources management; and addiction recovery support. She holds an associate’s degree in tourism and hospitality and has broad experience in small business management and customer service.
Her background in mental health services includes sponsoring women in addiction recovery; facilitating 12-step support groups; and presenting relationship workshops at NorthStar conferences.
Sarah values relationships and personal growth. She is an integral part of implementing Uzima’s vision to build a network of support that extends far beyond its office walls.
