Events & Outreach

At Uzima Health Services, our commitment to healing extends beyond our doors and into the heart of the community. We believe that wholeness, health, and life are nurtured not only through individual care, but also through meaningful connections with others. That’s why we actively partner with like-minded organizations and engage in local events. Through collaboration and outreach, we work to strengthen the fabric of our community—fostering resilience, reducing stigma, and creating pathways toward greater well-being for all.

The Ties That Heal Gala

Tanta, Inc.

October 4, 2025

TANTA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building a safe, supportive network where empowered women nurture healthy families and foster resilient communities. Grounded in the belief that collective thriving drives lasting change, TANTA unites women and girls across generations to define and lead their own paths to empowerment. By harnessing collective efficacy, the organization addresses harm responsibly and promotes the wellbeing of women and girls in immigrant and resettled communities. Their efforts have already made a measurable impact—engaging more than six ethnic communities over the past year and partnering with ION to provide culturally responsive interventions that bridge service and support gaps for immigrant families within the Boise public school system.
