(DBT) Support Groups


Uzima Health Services is forming a waitlist to begin a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) group. The group will meet weekly for one hour, costing $25 for each session. DBT groups typically run for 6 - 12 months and focus on skill building, including Distress Tolerance, Mindfulness, Emotional Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. People can join at any time and repeat the group if they wish to do so.

Grief Support Group for the Death of a Loved One

A Grief Support Group for Death of a Loved One is forming at Uzima Health Services in Boise and will be facilitated by Robert Franklin, LCSW. Grief is a normal experience of loss. The grief process takes time and requires supportive understanding. A number of factors, such as trauma history, poor self-esteem/self-worth, non-integrated previous losses, sudden and/or violent death, and the loss of a child/spouse are risk factors for complicated grief.

A Grief Support Group for Loss other than the death of a spouse, child, or significant other is forming at Uzima Health Services and will be facilitated by Robert Franklin, LCSW. Grief is a normal experience of loss and the grief process takes time and requires supportive understanding. If you have experienced the loss of a pet, employment, friendship, or significant relationship due to separation or divorce, or a significant event is causing you to grieve what was or what could have been, this group might be for you.
